So missing pretty good opportunities seems to be the story of my life.
I went up to my soon to be (inshallah) university this fall to just..walk around and explore.
The campus is pretty huge, so it was a needed expedition.
We go into the student union building, and as we are grabbing a couple of maps (myself, and my friend-cousin-sister like-person I've known forever) a girl walks in we look her way and she smiles at us, hesitates for a bit and then asks "Do you know where the bookstore is?". She's obviously new. Just like myself.
I look at person I've known forever person, and she looks at me, then we both look at the maps in our hands and see that it is downstairs and tell her so. She smiles says thanks lingers a few secs and is on her way.
If you're wondering what the opportunity is, well that was it. See? It went by so fast I'll bet you didn't even notice it. (And if you did notice it...then I'm way worse off that I thought I was :p)
Instead of just telling her to go downstairs, I probably should have said something to the extent of, "Oh, are you new?? I'm new too...Whats your name?....etc".
But of course I completely miss the golden chance.
And I realize all this a few seconds after shes gone down the stairs.
Argh.
There you have it
Your dose of the day for the socially challenged soul :)

or maybe a drug dealer who wanna get ya on her stuff.. then you lose yourself.. and start to steal from your family so you can buy drugs!!.. all your hopes and dreams fade away.. 15 years later the police arrest you for sellin drugs to lil girls at the KG school across the street

the opportunity is still there, next time you see her around, you actually have a reason to go and speak to her and ask her if she found the bookstore after all.. you never know she might have met people by then, and when you actually speak her this time she will introduce you to more people :)
