Tidbits (for lack of a better name..)

A few days ago I sat down to eat a slice of pizza on my fifteen minute break at work (I can't stop eating the pizza. Help.) As I'm sitting there struggling to find a way to effectively chew the pizza down in my metal-ridden mouth - it can get pretty ugly :p -, this little kid, about 6 or 7 runs up to a guy that is sitting a few tables across from and goes

"DAD. THERE'S A TERRORIST IN THE BATHROOM."

The dad said something to him that I couldn't hear, he probably told him to stfu because I know he must have been embarrassed as loud as that kid was. And they get up, get their plates up, and start making their way out of the food court.
Whats even worse is the fact that I just knew that he was probably referring to a Sikh.
And sure enough, about 30 seconds later, I see an Indian looking guy in a pink turban coming from the direction of the bathroom.

What the eff?

I don't think Terrorists wear pink, anyway.

And then, same shit next day.
I was waiting for the bus at the metro station.
This older lady (Muhajaba) sees me standing waiting for the bus. I was wearing a scarf that day so she comes towards me and smiles; I smile back. She trys to talk to me in English - which isn't too good :) So she asks me if I speak Arabic. "Yes". Then she asks me a few questions about which bus she should catch. She sounded Egyptian, and she also sounded like she didn't know too much about catching the metro..she probabaly just moved here.

So our bus comes. (She was getting on the same bus as me)
The doors open up, and she is trying to get on even though people are getting off.
General rule is, you're to wait until the people who want to get off of the bus get off before you try to board..but she didn't. And I'm guessing that was because she didn't really know any better.
But the bus driver flips out anyway.

"EXCUSE ME. YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY GET OFF, BEFORE YOU GET ON THE BUS."

Fair enough. She understood that and backed down off of the stairs..
But the bus driver isn't finished

"THIS IS AMERICA. I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DO IT WHEREVER YOU COME FROM, BUT THIS IS AMERICA, AND THIS IS HOW WE DO IT HERE!!!"

Ummm, again...
What the eff???

First of all, she was old enough to be your mother. Learn some God damn manners.
Second of all, why was that second part even necessary!? She backed off of the stairs as soon as you told her to. That was suffifcient enough...so what the hell is your problem.

And not to to mention that there were about 15 people in line behind her, and a whole bus full of people now looking out the window at her. How effing humiliating. When it was my turn to get on I honestly had half a mind to ask him "Was that really necessary???"...I had some where to be though, and I was already half an hour late..didn't feel like getting kicked off the bus or whatever. And I know thats hardly an excuse...

Anyhow, the old lady ended up not riding the bus anyway. It was the wrong one.

But God, he pissed me off.

The first incident happened in Maryland
And the second in Virginia
Both would be incident that I would expect to witness on like...a roadtrip down south.

/unpleasant mood

Now the fun stuff.
I've started reading Twilight...Just finished Rebel Angels (Great read!).
I've been hearing alot of Twilight hype recently, so I bought the book about a month ago.
And theeeeeeen, I came across a link that was to a Twilight movie trailer. I didn't click the link, because I didn't want it to ruin the book in anyway possible for me. But the movie comes out ..November? I should be long finished the book by then.

So far I'm liking it! It is ~not~ the next Harry Potter, and I don't know where people are getting that from, but it's still pretty good.

I'm just pissed off because even though I refuse to watch the trailer...I can't block the images of the characters that play Edward and Bella from popping up on every other website I go to. I wish I had started reading it before the trailers and etc started coming out because now, Whenever I imagine Edward Cullen in my head , I imagine Robert Pattinson...and I don't like that because I feel that it's a forced image :p I wish I could have formed my own image of him in my mind instead of the Hollywood casting pick image. He's not bad looking or anything.. He played Cedric Diggory in The Goblet of fire, and he had the whole wild-weird-hot thing going for him:p But still..I regret not reading it before now. Oh well!

Side note to the handful that still read my blog - I know I have been really lazy about updating my blog and I havent really been commenting much on blogs in the blogosphere. I do still read them, but I've been quite busy lately. But don't take the not commenting as a sign of me not visiting and reading..because I still do :-D

Edward is supposedly too pretty to look like a human. The guy they picked for the role hardly suits that part. It's essential because all vampies in the book are inhumanely beautiful. With that being said, I really didn't like the series. Too cliche and predictable.

Edward: "Get away from me or I'll be attracted to your neck and suck you dry!"
Bella: "I don't care! I want to be with you! I want to be a vampire if that's what'll keep me with you!"
Repeat as desired and you've read the books that have been written so far and have a vague idea of what the new book will be like.

Send him to Saudi Arabia and someone WILL do the same thing to him.

Mochness, Well then they'd have a problem with any character that they cast since they'd inevitably have to cast a human :p

I won't say the book is all that great..but it sure is addictive. I can't put it down :|

Pinkish, Bella..I don't care about much :p I mean I thought the girl cast would be prettier, but she isn't and thats fine with me, LOL.
Bageeli 1/3 of the book and then I'll watch the trailer ;)

N a, This is very true!
But did I ever say this wouldn't happen in Saudi?

They could've picked a guy more ethereal looking than the Cedric guy.

the whole stereotype of terrorists or wherever these people come from has been built upon over the past 6 or 7 years or so, through twisted media images and ideals. tough to fix really.

pink terrorist indeed.

Thats very unusual behavior for a bus driver. They're supposed to be trained to be courteous. As a matter of fact I'm surprised none of the other passengers told him so. If that was me I'd make damn sure to remind him.
