There just too many things that I'd like to try. Would like to do, and there just aren't enough hours in the day to do them all.
So out of the mere feeling of being overwhelmed, I end up doing none of them.
I want to edit some of my photos, and post them on flickr.
I want to join flickr technique group and actually participate in the discussions, and try out the posted photoshop techniques.
I want to finish my presentation.
I want to learn how to use photoshop good enough that I could design my own templates, and other things..
I want to be able to finish reading a novel in no more than 3 days, and then move on to the next.
I want to take up more hobbies, like painting, and scrapbooking.
I want to do more artsy stuff. Small stuff. DIY stuff.
I want to go to museums, and exhibitions.
I want to cook more.
I want a part time job.
I want to finish cleaning up my roooom.
I want to start sewing classes. (Went to register, class was full. I was too late.)
I want to be able to read over lessons before going to class.
I want to start studying more than 1 day before the exam.
It feels like life is just passssiing me by, while I just sit and watch.
Unproductiveness bites.
*sighs*

23 skittles:
the 1st 3 lines shows you are a classic perfectionist
I'm overwhelmed just by reading your post :/
I sometimes feel the need to keep my to-do list the way it is so I don't get this "empty" feeling once I do them all..silly huh?
i think it was thoreau who said he did not want to arrive at the end of his life and discover that he had not lived ;-)
and it was hendrix who said "it's such a shame to spend the time away like this...existing"
Vampyress - Are you majoring in psychology by any chance? :p
Funyy, I kind of do that too :|
Though it's rare ;p
Unokhan - You're like a quote bank :p
I fear the same thing that Thoreau did (had to google him, lol.)
pick up a juicy mind-firing book =)
The problem is...I'll start it and won't finish it :p
Any suggestions of mind-firing books? :p
if your into fantasy: The Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan.. AMAZING!!
Fiction: Sara by Marek Halter
Romace/Drama/girly girl never going to happen: Something Wounderful by Judith MCNaught
lol hope that helps
What kind of mind firing books? Political, philosophical, historical, what?
Yawarakai - Welcome..
I'm into some types of fantasy :D
Hate romance books though :p
Thanks for the suggestions!
Woozie - Doesn't really matter. I just want it to be captivating, and never dull, because then there will be a rick of me not finishing it :p
May I suggest some healthy porn then? You'll never be bored.
you might enjoy 'high tide in tuscon' by barbara kingsolver. while not overtly political, it has the astute edge of someone wanting to pay attention. it's a collexion of essays --u needn't be concerned about finishing it.
I know how you feel thats why I stopped doing The I want to do list......Here is a good Idea why not write a What I don't want to do list ..It will definately be shorter...and easier to do or not to do to be exact..lol.
I would work on getting a job though ...It will take up a lot of your time.
Woozie - Lol. Ok, that seems like it would get dull really fast :|
Unokhan - I'll put that on the list too :D
Naif - Ha! Good idea. I'm working on the job thing...I think :p
Hm.
Very well.
Since you're not in that kind of a mood, I'll throw out 50 Essays. As the name implies, it's a collection of fifty essays so like Massa Khan's suggestion you won't have to worry about finishing it.
They pulled essays written by a whole bunch of famous people about just about everything. A lot of the essays are good reads. And I'm sure some of them are just crap. But most are good.
shush.. *bear hug*
you'll do all the things you want to do, if you stop whining and go & do them. :D hhehe
the story of our lives. i hate the fact i now have what ive wanted at my fingertips and im STILL being lazy about it!
the first thing i will do however on my to-do list is call you.
My list is just as tiring to work on =\ BLEH!
I always try to write to-do lists but i never work on them :/
I really want 2 learn photoshop and finish a novel in 3 days :S
I agree with Unokhan's approach to reading, try Neil Gaiman's "Smoke and Mirrors" a collection of short stories ranging from 3 pages to 30.
Try making the list simpler by merging a few things, a third of the things on your list are art/photography related. maybe after merging them it will look less intimidating :)
actually trying doing what i do. instead of having one long list, i put up millions of post-its all over the wall. this way when something is done i can take the post it, tear it to bits and throw it away. a very invigorating feeling i must say.
Woozie - I'll add that to the list too :p ANOTHER LIST.
Missy - ;*
Asma - STILL WAITING.
Mochness - LOL. Now yours I'd like to see ;p
Swarwar - A7san. Don;t start writing them. You'll just get pissed off, lol :p
Froggles - Oh, cool. I like Neil Gaiman :D I'll add that book to the list too :p I currently have one post it list stuck to my bookcase, hehe. It's been there for 2 weeks, and It's still not finished :|
i have a list of things im supposed to do... they dont take much longer than an hour or two each... most recent item was added to the list about 3 months ago
I finished quite a few things since my last reply =D I write a list of things I've to do in the next several months and work on the list as fast as possible.
