...Aliyah's wise words. Write them down.
-Well isn't this just fantastic. A reason to harass pregnant women in airports.
Just lovely..

I guess we can never underestimate how far these fear tactics will go.
So on top of being bloated, hormonal, suddenly overweight, all stretch marked up, and a bunch of other weird bodily and mental things, they now have to worry about people thinking that they're terrorists! :D Great..
-I met a boy who reminds me of Travis McCoy. *sizzling sound*
- I've finally finished reading Memoirs of A Geisha. A year after starting it! Not because I'm that slow of a reader but because I don't really sit down and just..read. I'll read on the train and while waiting for the bus. I started it back in Riyo and as you know, there's no metro or bus stops there so I virtually never read it. Anyways, I'm happy I'm done. Promised myself I wouldn't keep starting other books unless I plan to finish them all. So one at a time :p I feel like I'm living up to my "read more books" resolution. Kind of.
Any how, I wasn't too impressed with the ending.
It would have been better if Sayuri didn't get The Chairman at the end. Because then she would have gotten owned =)
Happy endings really ruin a story sometimes.
It was still a very great read though.
The whole Geisha business is just messed up. A bunch of very well paid..whores? And the men that they served were just perverted :-S Dr. Crab. The minister. The General. Each one more gross than the next.
I think my favorite thing about this book were the endless (literally) metaphors.
There was a metaphor for every single feeling, or thought, or scene. Really brought more meaning to the story.
Now! Time for me to watch the movie :D
- Wtf is up with Kanye's new video?!?!? :| I think I like it though!

oh and pointless posts are the best. you just feel light reading them.
I didn't like the movie and I didn't like the book, either.
I thought the book was fantastic! And the movie was the least disappointing adaptation of a book I have ever seen. Which isn't really saying something, bass
ya3ni...
I like all your posts. Random, pointless and otherwise.

I LOVED THE BOOK! it's one of my favorites!!
I HATEEEEEE WRITING pointless posts..bs i lurv reading them :p

lol The movie has good memories associated with it.
What exactly is the object a geisha gives a guy when she's offering him her virginity?
Fishy and I decided it's a rice cake. We started going around picking guys to give our rice cakes to. Always cracked us up loool
Are you into social psychology? If you are, I would suggest Lord of the Flies for your next reading, if you haven't read it already. It's short but extremely powerful.
Left a deep black impression on me...
Any song that involves Kanye being beaten up and suggestively killed is a great video to me .
Asma - Nice. But you could have left an actual comment that had to do with the post! Biatch.
Skittles - I'm going to download the movie el 7een :p
Mocha - How come? :p
Uber - The book was definitely one of the best I've read in a while :D (even though I haven't read many...lol.). Thanks =$
Sexy Cow - Shaklah this book has a lot of fans :p Keep yours coming too ;D
Juju - LOL. The whole Mizuage thing is just freeeaaky :| Imagine having to do that. Wtf, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a rice cake :p
I wouldn't say I'm that interested in psychology, but I'm not not interested it in either. I'm neutral I guess :p Heard a lot about "Lord of The Flies"! I'll read it :D
Grey Shorts - Hahah! I agree :p
I have a love/hate relationship with him :|
I recommend Lord of the Flies, too.
Geisha didn't leave an impression on me. It's not that bad, nor is it that good.
^ Oh, Lord of the Flies was fantastic. Goes really deep into human nature if philosophy's your thing.
And I'm doing Ask A Black Dude this weekend so don't forget your questions :)
