He won his 8th gold medal in one Olympic game, and also broke the world record.
Making him the worlds bestest swimmer. Ya digggggg? ;)
I cried.
Also, this is post number 200 for me.
Great timing.
I know he is over there in Beijing walking on sunshine, cuz I am, and I didn't even win shit.
Peace, love, and swimming y'all.

What I've been up to (more or less)
1. Olympics
IS MICHAEL PHELPS A BEAST, OR IS HE A BEAST?
OMG. I can't even express the...the...PASSION :P That I feel for him right now
He makes me....proud. Such a great swimmer. Such a gorgeous body. Ugh.
He makes me want to start swimming again. It's been about 5 years since I last swam competitively. Never won any...only ever got bronze, lol. But it was good fun. Plus, I had awesome legs because of it, hah. Too bad that I'll probably never be able to do that again; unless for some reason we move back..?
USA gymnastics team act like a bunch of frat boys. They seem soo...douche-y. I miss the Hamm twins.
My best Olympic moment thus far has to have been, the 400m swimming relay.
Jason Lezak suddenly gets a surge of energy and in the last seconds and passes the french guy ( Bernard, a.k.a TRASH talker ) to win the gold. I screamed so loud. It was such an awesome moment in swimming history :)
2012 Olympics will be in LONDON.
I AM SOOOOO GOING TO BE THERE, BBS!
MARK MY WORDS ;)
I mean, I won't even have to pay for a hotel.
2.Work....sucks and is starting to really BORE me. As soon as I find something (which I hope will happen soooooon!) else I am quitting.
3. Tysons..Been here enough times to last a life time
4. Georgetown
5. The other Boleyn girl. This is a effin' good book. I'm kind of surprised. Didn't think in a million years I'd enjoy it this much. Sex, money, mistresses, illegitimate children, status, beauty, lies, , and everything else in between. Drama. Beautiful.
6. Five Guys.
I've been eating here waay too much. Almost as much as I've been eating pizza ;)
MMMMMMMMMM.
8. Missing appointments.
Yeah...I've missed about...1..2...3! 3 appointment's in the past month and a half.
Not cool.
9. Movies. Have seen: Wanted, Dark Knight, Journey to the center of the earth, Step Brothers, and yesterday Pineapple Express ( Superbad was better, btw); last movie I saw it with my friends before they left back to Riyadh :( Their flight left at 6 pm this evening. ..I hadn't had that much fun with anybody all year. Back to my normal routine I guess, now...
Also, my cousin tells me that I'm going to have "so much fun" at college this year.
I beg to differ.
As September 2nd gets closer and closer, the more scared I get.
Another also, I bought the new Jonas Brothers Album yesterday. I can't decide if that is something that I am ashamed to admit yet or not. I can't fight this sudden obsession...!
Whatever.
They make me feel 14 again :)
On the real though...it's all about Joe for me. If he wasn't in the group, I probably wouldn't give a shit about them. Nick is cute. Kevin is...meh. But Joe?
Pure animal attraction :">
Yeah...nothing too interesting here...just thought I'd update this dusty thing :-p

Tidbits (for lack of a better name..)
A few days ago I sat down to eat a slice of pizza on my fifteen minute break at work (I can't stop eating the pizza. Help.) As I'm sitting there struggling to find a way to effectively chew the pizza down in my metal-ridden mouth - it can get pretty ugly :p -, this little kid, about 6 or 7 runs up to a guy that is sitting a few tables across from and goes
"DAD. THERE'S A TERRORIST IN THE BATHROOM."
The dad said something to him that I couldn't hear, he probably told him to stfu because I know he must have been embarrassed as loud as that kid was. And they get up, get their plates up, and start making their way out of the food court.
Whats even worse is the fact that I just knew that he was probably referring to a Sikh.
And sure enough, about 30 seconds later, I see an Indian looking guy in a pink turban coming from the direction of the bathroom.
What the eff?
I don't think Terrorists wear pink, anyway.
And then, same shit next day.
I was waiting for the bus at the metro station.
This older lady (Muhajaba) sees me standing waiting for the bus. I was wearing a scarf that day so she comes towards me and smiles; I smile back. She trys to talk to me in English - which isn't too good :) So she asks me if I speak Arabic. "Yes". Then she asks me a few questions about which bus she should catch. She sounded Egyptian, and she also sounded like she didn't know too much about catching the metro..she probabaly just moved here.
So our bus comes. (She was getting on the same bus as me)
The doors open up, and she is trying to get on even though people are getting off.
General rule is, you're to wait until the people who want to get off of the bus get off before you try to board..but she didn't. And I'm guessing that was because she didn't really know any better.
But the bus driver flips out anyway.
"EXCUSE ME. YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY GET OFF, BEFORE YOU GET ON THE BUS."
Fair enough. She understood that and backed down off of the stairs..
But the bus driver isn't finished
"THIS IS AMERICA. I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DO IT WHEREVER YOU COME FROM, BUT THIS IS AMERICA, AND THIS IS HOW WE DO IT HERE!!!"
Ummm, again...
What the eff???
First of all, she was old enough to be your mother. Learn some God damn manners.
Second of all, why was that second part even necessary!? She backed off of the stairs as soon as you told her to. That was suffifcient enough...so what the hell is your problem.
And not to to mention that there were about 15 people in line behind her, and a whole bus full of people now looking out the window at her. How effing humiliating. When it was my turn to get on I honestly had half a mind to ask him "Was that really necessary???"...I had some where to be though, and I was already half an hour late..didn't feel like getting kicked off the bus or whatever. And I know thats hardly an excuse...
Anyhow, the old lady ended up not riding the bus anyway. It was the wrong one.
But God, he pissed me off.
The first incident happened in Maryland
And the second in Virginia
Both would be incident that I would expect to witness on like...a roadtrip down south.
/unpleasant mood
Now the fun stuff.
I've started reading Twilight...Just finished Rebel Angels (Great read!).
I've been hearing alot of Twilight hype recently, so I bought the book about a month ago.
And theeeeeeen, I came across a link that was to a Twilight movie trailer. I didn't click the link, because I didn't want it to ruin the book in anyway possible for me. But the movie comes out ..November? I should be long finished the book by then.
So far I'm liking it! It is ~not~ the next Harry Potter, and I don't know where people are getting that from, but it's still pretty good.
I'm just pissed off because even though I refuse to watch the trailer...I can't block the images of the characters that play Edward and Bella from popping up on every other website I go to. I wish I had started reading it before the trailers and etc started coming out because now, Whenever I imagine Edward Cullen in my head , I imagine Robert Pattinson...and I don't like that because I feel that it's a forced image :p I wish I could have formed my own image of him in my mind instead of the Hollywood casting pick image. He's not bad looking or anything.. He played Cedric Diggory in The Goblet of fire, and he had the whole wild-weird-hot thing going for him:p But still..I regret not reading it before now. Oh well!
Side note to the handful that still read my blog - I know I have been really lazy about updating my blog and I havent really been commenting much on blogs in the blogosphere. I do still read them, but I've been quite busy lately. But don't take the not commenting as a sign of me not visiting and reading..because I still do :-D

EPIC
I DARE any other comic book movie/actor/actress/villan/hero/whatever to top this.
Had me gasping, and shaking through the whole movie.
It was that good ;)
I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it now.
Heath is a beast. I swear.
He was so spectacular that I had to keep reminding myself through out the movie that "this is Heath Ledger!". He transformed himself into The Joker so well that it was ridiculous.
What a way to go out, eh?
Definitely an epic last performance.
I smell an Oscar nomination. Oh yeah ;)
In fact, if he doesn't get one, I will be outraged.
Now, excuse me while I go through the movie in my head once again.

Sorry?
Marcus, I'm sorry for saying what I said. I'm sorry for not knowing that you had friends who attempted suicide. My "excuse me while I go and slit my wrists" comment was out of place. But so are your "retarded" and "gay" comments to tell you the truth.
Hajr...I'm sorry for..heck I don't even know why I am apologizing to you. You need anger management. I was on time and where you told me to be at 3 o'clock. You were an hour and a half late. Me - 1. You - 0.
E., I'm sorry I wasn't home to wish you a a happy birthday on your wall. So I did the next best thing - sent you an SMS. I'm sorry that you didn't get my "Happy Birthday" msg for some reason, and I honestly don't know why. What can I say - technology is a bitch sometimes, ain't it? I can't really make you believe me, so I hope you find a way to get over it, and forgive me.
If it helps any, I feel like shit..
